Review #100!!!! First off, if you get a pick up order, there are free cookies. Automatic +3 stars. Take notes other lunch joints! This place is a couple of blocks away from my office, so it only takes a second to stop by here for lunch or breakfast. It's a welcome hiatus from work. The staff is always friendly and did I mention that there are free cookies? The Heather special wrap kicks a**! The Chipotle Quinoa salad is seriously delicious. I also really like the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad. Pretty much everything that I've had has been good. The only downside is that they are so popular. Well, not for them, but for me. Around lunch time they are so busy that I'll end up waiting while they sort out my order. They have made mistakes and made me wait longer on more than one occasion. They have been very apologetic and nice about it, but it's a chronic issue.

Ok so Joe really does know lunch! I ordered the heather's secret sauce wrap based on a review and I'm so happy that I did because the flavors are great! I also ordered a smoothie and it's obvious that they use fresh fruit and not canned fruit which is a plus for me. Another great thing is that they include something free in your delivery order (I got the brownie which was good). Overall the food is great, the only downside is delivery time but it's worth the wait.

This restaurant is located 2 minutes from where I work, so it's close and convenient when I'm on my lunch break. Prices are all reasonable. I eat here at least once or twice a month. The only thing I have ever gotten from here is their Firehouse Chicken Panini and sweet potato fries. (Sweet fries and served with a ranch dipping sauce). It's always phenomenal and always comes out fast. My only gripe is with the service. Joe Knows Lunch does a lot of deliveries and I feel like because of this, they tend to neglect the people who choose to sit and eat in their establishment. Every single time I go here, the waitress never comes back to check to see how the food was. And maybe once or twice have I gotten a refill without having to ask. Half the time, you can't even find the waitress to ask. All the waitresses are friendly, but seem to forget they still have a job to do once the food hits the table. This last time around we even had to go up to the counter to pay because no one ever came back with a check, after we sat there finished for over 10 minutes. Bottom line: great food, inexpensive, lots of food options, but severely lacking in service.

What a find. First, way of the beaten path. Second, great menu. Next, good service. Great drinks, sandwiches and cookies. I tried the firehouse. Very good. Someone had the Arys Bronx. Also very good. Watch out for the peppers. Wasn't ready for the bite but also good. The price was right. Recommend.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Joe Knows Lunch. Over the 7 years I've worked in the area I've eaten it countless times (never in the restaurant it self) and my company uses them quite a lot to cater for work meetings and the like. The Good: *They have a website through which you can order, which isn't the easiest, but at least it exists and you can avoid calling in. *Free Item - every order includes something free. Chips, cookies etc you pick. *Food - most of the food is pretty tasty. I most recently had the Heather's Secret Sauce Wrap and it was delicious! The Bad: *Delivery Minimum - I get why this exists but it's annoying. A typical sandwich/wrap is $7.99 and when I add on one of the cheapest sides (a pickle) for 99cents I get to $8.98 and guess what the delivery minimum is - yep $8.99. So I'm forced to get a more expensive side when truthfully I don't even want any side at all. A bit infuriating lol. *Free Item - over the years the free item list has gotten shorter and shorter! *Inconsistent - some times I order something and fall in love. When I order it again I'm less than enamored. The Very Bad: *Despite being able to select your delivery time on the website I have had my food come over an hour late TWICE. It got so bad that I swore I wouldn't even order from them again, but alas I gave in.

Joe Knows Lunch is one of those least expected, off the trail, little gems of a place I would have never come across without a little Yelp from my friends. Located in warehouse or semi-industrial section, you'd never think that it was home to a restaurant, much less that the food would be any good. It's totally unassuming from the outside as well as from the inside. Clean and orderly, but certainly not a place one would go to for décor or dining ambience. However, the super friendly service and deliciously unique food preparations more than make up for any of those short comings. Basically a breakfast and lunch establishment, Joe has not only a wide a varied menu, but an offering of healthy tasty daily and weekly specials. I went for one of his soups of the day, being a white bean and kale with chicken and sausage. It came served hot inside of a huge cup which contained more than an average bowl and was really downright flavorful and delicious. I also went for his special of the week "Chef's Creation" being a turkey, provolone, lettuce, red onion, fresh sliced cucumber, tomato, red pepper almond sauce done in a red tomato wrap. When served it was not only pleasing to the eye, but delicious in taste. All in all, I can say that Joe really does know lunch and has an establishment I have no problem recommending to others.

Joe Knows Lunch is located very close to where I work, but this is the first time I ventured in. I arrived around 11:45 and found quite a few open table and took a seat. As it got closer to noon and after the place really started to fill up, so if you want to eat in get there early for sure. The menus are located right on the tables and the waitress was quick to get drink orders. Although the menu is mostly salads and sandwiches it is still huge and there are a ton of choices so it took me a little while to decide, but I ended up going with the rancher wrap, a chicken wrap with corn, black beans, cheese, and ranch dressing. You had the option of choosing from a few different wrap types (wheat, spinach, etc.) but I just got a plain flour tortilla. I also ordered a dill pickle on the side. The food came out pretty quickly and I enjoyed the wrap immensely. As I went up to the counter to pay there was a container of homemade cookies that came with the meal to take with you. This particular day was a peanut butter and m&m cookie but they make different ones throughout the week. I was excited that my meal came with dessert. For the price of about $10 I got a very filling wrap with a pickle and dessert, not a bad deal at all. I know many people get take out from Joe Knows Lunch and they often cater corporate lunches and deliver, but I was very impressed with the service I received in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

This is a good place for lunch. I ate here twice. The first time I ordered the steak & cheese then the next day I ordered the teriyaki steak sub. Both are well worth the 8.59 cost. The whole pickle (1/4erd) is also worth the .99. I will eat here again when I am in the area.

My office has had them cater here before and most people seem to think highly of this place. I knew it was close to where I work but I had no idea how close exactly. I could probably walk there on a nicer day, and it's nice to not have to go to one of the busier intersections like Andrews/Powerline. Despite being tucked away in the side streets it was fairly easy to find and easily identifiable. Placed an order for pickup online which made it incredibly easy, and it came with a free item on the side. As my cravings for salads continue to grow I opted in for a Caesar salad. Didn't get chicken on it, but even after adding extra dressing, bacon, and some customizations it was only $8, and it came with a free food item. Pretty good deal. Was ready by the time I got there and despite being super busy fielding orders for pick up and giving their drivers direction they seemed to be pretty organized. The young woman at the register was fielding a call for pickup, going back and forth between the counter and the kitchen, and was able to give me my meal all at the same time (while also being pretty cute). Now that's talent. Was feeling peckish so nibbled on my free cookie on the way back to work. Not terribly large but really good. A thick, soft, chewy chocolate chip cookie with fairly big chocolate chunks. Got to my desk and opened up the salad to be pleasantly surprised they got all of my customizations and by the size of the salad for the price. Dressing was really thick and flavorful and the romaine was really leafy and fresh. Their menu is a bit daunting with how many selections it has but definitely looking forward to coming back here again and trying my luck at something else.

Friendly staff in a busy place. I work nearby, had soup on a rainy day, it was very tasty in that homemade way. Furnishings match the area and building, basic and built to work. Good place for a work lunch.

Another in the category of "if you didn't know it was here, you'd never find it", Joe's is buried in between warehouse and small office buildings. There is barely a sign out front. But the locals sure know about the place and they keep coming back. Not because there isn't much else around, but because Joe really does know lunch. Wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches with the usual assortment of lunch meats and toppings. But where Joe kicks it up a notch is that the meats are exceptionally high quality and the sandwiches are well stuffed. This ain't Subway, my friends. Joe also caters and delivers.

This is a GREAT place for breakfast or lunch. Everything is FRESH all kinds of sandwiches, 3 different soups every day. Eat in, Take out, or have it delivered. Have your office or home party catered... A real JEM.

The food is ok. The sweet tea is amazing!! I'm if I would go back and get a small turkey wrap for $6 but I would like to try their breakfast. My wrap was so small and kinda wrong. I know lunch is busy obviously over there but still the server can pay a little more attention when someone is ordering. I ordered the wrap with a little bit of mayo. Most places they would put a little. The lady didn't even modify it so it came drenched in mayo. It was so disgusting I couldn't eat it. I took the wrap apart and ate the 5 slices of turkey. They server never came back she only placed the ticket on the side of the table and left. Didn't ask if everything was ok or why my wrap was literally not eaten. I ate my chips and drank my sweet tea and left after paying for it. Idk if I'll come back for lunch but I will try out their breakfast hopefully it will be a better experience

I placed an order on line and received a confirmation that my order was processed, Thrity minutes later a receive a call from this rude, snarky girl informing me that I am now out of the delivery zone even though they have delivered to me at my current job 3-4 times and also my previous company a few blocks away several times. When they called to cancel my order I told the girl thats strange that it allowed my order to placed if I am out of "delivery zone" especially when I stated that I had ordered 100 times and not had a problem. The rude girl was quick to say "You have only ordered from us a few times" and I let it go because she is an imbecile and I didn't want to explain I was referring to my old company. This is bad customer service. Second the food, the majority of the food is bland and tasteless, I have ordered at least 4-5 of the different wraps they didn't not have flavor and the chicken was dry. I am giving 2 stars because I do really like the harvest salad, although I was disappointed that they added almonds and got rid of the sunflower seeds. So in the end they probably did me a favor.

This is my final review of this place. It's like having a love/hate relationship with a bad boyfriend who has good moments randomly. You keep giving them a chance to redeem themselves after they do one nice thing, then they turn around and do some dumb stuff to kill your love. JKL has become my bad boyfriend. I bought lunch today. Chicken stir fried rice bowl. STay away from that people. It's awful. God awful. Not a "i'm just feeling like complaining on Yelp bc i have nothing else to do" type of God awful. Not a "clearly I like to complain all the time on Yelp (i really dont actually)" type of God awful. I mean honest to goodness the worst bowl of dry rice and meat and veggies. Sooo dry. Rice was crunchy. Like it wasnt finished cooking. And dry. You know what you get with dry brown rice, and grilled chicken and vegetables with ZERO SAUCE? You get dry brown rice and dry chicken and dry veggies with zero sauce. zero salt. zero pepper. zero spice. for $8 and change. I had to use 2 packets of ketchup and a spicy brown mustard just to make it moist enough to slide down my throat. So what exactly made me mad about this meal? 1. No love. No effort. Just slapped together. I dont mind slapped together food, if you're going to charge me a slapped together price. If youre charging me like its supposed to be decent food that gets decent raves, then I expect decent effort. 2. The food came sideways. The delivery guy brought me the food, in my paper bag, and the container was sideways. SO guess what that looks like? Looks like food that got tossed together like a small kid was playing about in it. I wouldnt have minded the appearance if the damn food tasted good!!!!! THATS WHAT MADE ME MAD! HOW DARE IT LOOK BAD AND THEN TASTE BAD AS WELL?! There was zero effort put forward. I mean come on, not because its just lunch. If i wanted crap to eat for my lunch, I wouldve rustled something up at my yard before I left out! So I paid for my food - got bad food. Tipped the delivery guy - food all over the place. Theyre happy, i'm annoyed. JKL, we're no longer cool. I'm out. The end.

My favorite place to order for lunch at work! It's a little known place but boy is it awesome The menu is pretty decent (Sandwiches, salads, ricebowls, burgers, paninis! Yum!) Almost everything I have ordered has been awesome. The kicker here is that while they offer normal sides like fries or chips, they have HEALTHY sides like broccoli, or guacamole! Love it. When you order any entree online, you get something free (try the apple or red velvet cake). For a healthy, delicious, filling lunch, Joes Knows is the best!!

The name says it all and Joe's really knows it! My office orders from here everyday. The, food always comes fresh and on time. They have seating in their restaurant too and whether you're ordering in or eating inside, you always get a free item (I highly suggest their chocolate chip cookies, more like Chocolate megachunk cookies). I usually have the California sub and the Buffalo Chicken Salad...or the Aubergine Classic (which is this delicious grilled eggplant sandwich), or Chicken Caprese Sandwich (omg, my mouth is watering) which are absolutely delicious but I see people order all kinds of stuff from there and noone ever says anything bad about Joe's. Everything that comes out of their kitchen is SUPERB!

This morning my coworker and I ordered breakfast, her order was perfect my order however was disgusting, I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese bacon and home fries... What I got was scrambled egg soup, the eggs were totally under cooked they were good enough to exchange the meal... However while working I got a call back, on the work phone (all calls are recorded) where the manager or I'm assuming she was the manager tells me that the eggs are fine the the that the liquid on the eggs was from the moisture of the cheese... Cheese is runny when melted yes but not like water... The entire conversation was completely turned around and I was being attacked for the eggs being runny.... Needless to say that they have no clue on how to cook eggs my stomach has not been the same since the first bite of the breakfast and the service was rude and blame their customers... I will never order from them again....The worst customer service I had to put up with...

Excellent sandwiches and soups, friendly and fast service, and they always have free cookies. I'm a sucker for the Tampa Bay Cuban and the California Chicken Panini. This place is great.

I don't write reviews very often, but I was really disappointed in my staff lunch that we ordered yesterday for our department. It was Wednesday, which means Lobster Bisque. Three of us ordered and were very excited about getting it.....It was inedible, the salt content was absolutely awful. We couldn't even eat it and ended up throwing all 3 bowls away!!! Now my tuna salad was great, everyone else seemed to enjoy what they ordered. We've ordered from here numerous times and it's been good, but that was by far the worse soup I've ever eaten. I'm going to assume that someone new made the bisque and maybe I'll try it again on another Wed., but maybe not.

Fantastic food with a fun family atmosphere. Really diverse menu with lots of choices healthy and maybe not so much. Off the path for tourist like us, in a small industrial section, but worth the sidetrip. Will go there again when we're back in town

Oh, my goodness, do I love this place! Whenever I bring in my lunch and my coworkers decide to order for this place, I get extremely jealous... The sandwiches and salads are always fresh-- and delicious! I am a sucker for their panini... mmm.... I love how they have specials throughout the week; I feel as though there's always a new menu item on the works. (YAY!) Be sure to order early, as they can experience high-call volume! Also, the place closes around 2 p.m. "Joe Knows Lunch," indeed!

After reading the reviews I ordered online for lunch -- the California on rye and french onion soup with a cookie as my free item. My lunch was ready for pickup at the time set during my online order and I was greeted with a friendly face and hello. My lunch was in a brown paper bag with my receipt stapled on the outside to keep the bag closed. Up to this point, everything was a great experience. When I returned to the office to eat my sandwich it was not the sandwich I ordered. I had written "Hold the Mayo Please! Thank you!" under the customer request section (it's printed on my receipt and within the confirmation email i received) and my sandwich had mayonnaise. I also had written "French onion soup Please! Thank you" under the customer request section for the daily soup and I received the correct soup. So, the part of the sandwich I ate was good -- unfortunately I had to remove half of the bread and all of the cheese because it was covered in mayonnaise. The french onion soup was mediocre (I wouldn't order it again), and I'm taking the free cookie home with me -- hopefully it will be good. I will return again in the future to try this place again -- maybe sit in the cafe this time rather than order online.
